• The Slim-system's innovative harness and vessel construction weighs up to 30% less than the SCBAs currently in the field.

• The Slim-system relieves shoulder and back fatigue due to a lighter load and better weight distribution.

• Flat multi-chamber configuration provides the first truly body-conformable pressure-vessel design.

• When pressurized, the Vulcore Slim-system remains flexible at “connections” between cells and allows total mobility of the firefighter.  

• Use of Kevlar and Hytrel, rather than metals in the vessel wall (as in standard SCBAs), eliminates any danger of shrapnel.

• Burst-tests and gun-fire tests resulted in no fragmentation to the Slim-system.

• The Slim-system's lightweight construction and balanced distribution will greatly reduce serious back injury in falls backward due to its low profile and flat configuration.

• The Slim-system eliminates firefighters continuously adjusting and hassling with their SBCA tanks.

• Chamber size, or number of cells, can be varied to balance capacity, flexibility and vessel thickness providing an incredible array of configurations.

• Slim-systems can be modified for use in 30, 45, and 60-minute units used in firefighting, Hazmat, SWAT and military applications.

Still under development, patented "cellular pressure-vessel" technology makes 
the Cobra Slim-system 30% lighter than the 808 model.
